Roads OPEN to all mountain travelers

Last night's 3 inches of fresh snowfall is icing on the cake! 5 feet of powder blanketed the resorts last week and with ALL roads open to all mountain travelers, everyone is sure to have a fun week in the snow. This weekend is shaping up to be mostly sunny and should be amazing too! The skiing and snowboarding conditions are epic!

Roads OPEN to all mountain travelers

Big Bear was covered in snow from last week's winter weather systems: 5-6 feet! Now, with all mountain roads open, the time is now to come up and enjoy these wonderful skiing and snowboarding conditions. There's plenty of fun for the whole family on the fresh snow!

For all you History Buffs: this is the most snow in a single series of storms since the unbelievable winter of 1969, just over 40 years ago!

Fresh Snow For The Holidays!

  • Big Bear is on Santa's NICE list! A fresh new layer of snow covers the resorts this morning.
  • An inch of natural snow fell last night and continued flurries are forecast throughout the day.
  • Snowmaking also started in the wee hours and it looks like we'll have a good snowmaking run over the next few days.
  • The snow is in great shape so get on up to the slopes and have some good ol' holiday fun!
  • All lifts are available and there's plenty of terrain for beginner to advanced skiers and boarders to enjoy.

Come Celebrate On The Snow With All Runs Open!

  • All runs are open at both resorts with plenty of terrain for beginner to advanced skiers and boarders.
  • Ski and Snowboard lessons are available for all ages and all abilities.
  • The snow conditions are very good and sunny blue skies are forecast into next week.

  • The snowmaking was good last night and the tail end of the weekend storm left 2 to 4 inches of fresh snow.
  • Most runs are open at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain with 22 available lifts and 138 park features.
  • Come enjoy a sunny day on the slopes today with machine groomed packed powder. This week's forecast is amazing through Sunday.
  • Area Use Tickets are at Regular Season rates: $53 for Adults, $43 for Young Adults and $20 and kids 6 and under are FREE with a paying adult.
  • All roads are open with no chain requirements.

2 Inches of Fresh Snow

  • Big Bear awoke to 2 inches of fresh snow this morning and it is still coming down.
  • Most runs are open at both resorts.
  • Bear Mountain's Half Pipe is now open!
  • Our large fleet of modern snowcats and our highly trained Park Staff were hard at work last night providing the best conditions possible.
  • Snow Summit and Bear Mountain currently offer 22 available lifts, 33 open runs, and 138 park features.
