Over 2 feet and still snowing... lesson learned: Don't listen to the forecast, just check with me every once in a while and I'll look out the window for you and check. The forecast still doesn't have it right...12 inches they say...forget that...we got way more. Enough to close all the roads and even your 4x4 needs chains. There is a road report on my weather site so look there for road conditions but last I heard only the 18 to Victorville was open but with an R3...chains for all. I spend most of my day just trying to move around outside and look after my horses. I walked in snow over myh knees and my Retriever and Doberman were leaping through the snow since it was over their backs. My Jeep has now merged into the snow and I managed to get my Dodge 4x4 truck stuck on my own property twice. We got snow....

Well folks...it wasn't in the forecast (what a surprise... LOL) but its snowing in Big Bear tonight as I type. I am in the east end of the valley who usually gets the least amount of snow and I have a couple of inches so far already with nothing by snow clouds about so I assume that the ski resort and the west end are getting a quiet a bit more. I'll tell you more about that tomorrow morning! Get ready for skiing! If you are planning to come up for the holidays then you better hurry and make reservations but you'll get a better deal if you wait until after Thanksgiving when the crowds are gone.

Some more snow was in the forecast for today/tomorrow but so far not much in sight. Might be coming in tonight though. The forecast is:
Sunday: Partly cloudy or sunny this morning, becoming mostly cloudy in the later morning or afternoon with some scattered snow showers developing, and the main snowfall occurring from afternoon through evening. High humidity is expected to move in. Isolated thunderstorms are possible with snow showers possible down to 6,000 feet in any of them, otherwise snow levels are expected to be up near 6,500 feet.
Precipitation:
60% chance for snow showers, snow level near 6,500 feet, with 2 to 4 inches of snowfall possible in the afternoon through tonight (isolated heavier amounts possible)
Monday: Mostly cloudy and colder, with mostly isolated (sometimes better coverage with "scattered") light snow showers and light breezes. Some thunderstorms are also still possible. Snow showers come to an end by afternoon and evening.
Precipitation:
40% chance for snow showers, snow level near 6,000 feet, 1 inch of additional snowfall is possible
I'll keep you posted.
