The resorts have been receiving light to moderate rain since Thursday night. Snow levels have continued to remain high through the recent storms. The resorts have received 2 inches of new snow overnight on the upper half of the mountains to a dusting on the lower half. Storm totals are now at 4 inches of new snow on top at Snow Summit and up to 6 inches on top at Bear Mountain. Please be prepared for changing weather conditions and always carry chains in your vehicle when traveling in the mountains.
Coverage is excellent with a 3 to 5 foot base. Today’s snow surface consists of wet packed powder on top to a thin wet layer on the lower mountain. For a detailed list of runs and lifts open each day, please visit our websites at snowsummit.com and bearmountain.com.

Thanks to cool, dry northeast winds, great snowmaking conditions are expected over the next couple days at both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Come up and enjoy beautiful weather and packed powder conditions! All runs are open at both resorts with excellent coverage and a machine groomed packed powder surface. The base is currently 3-5 feet, which is the deepest it has been in years.
Please note that runs and lifts will be open, weather permitting and as business volumes warrant. A few runs will be closed today for snowmaking – Gold Rush, Grizzly, Gambler, Rip’s Run and Outlaw at Bear Mountain and Ego Trip, Jo’s and Side Chute at Snow Summit.
