SNOW SUMMIT MOUNTAIN RESORT KICKS OFF THE 2005/2006 WINTER SEASON TODAY!
Miracle Mile, serviced by the East Mountain Express High Speed Quad, is open top to bottom at almost full width with rails and boxes available. The Bear Bottom Beginners� Area, serviced by Chair 8, is also now open offering terrain for first-time beginners and low-intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Snow Summit�s Snowsports School is offering both adult and children�s ski and snowboard lessons for all levels of ability. Snow Summit�s Little Bear Ski School will open Saturday December 3rd. Thanks to the around the clock efforts of our snowmaking department, coverage is very good on the open runs. Today�s snow surface is mostly machine groomed hard packed that will soften. Lift tickets are at an early season reduced rate of $35 for adults; $30 for young adults (ages 13-21yrs with a valid ID); and $10 for children (ages 7-12yrs). Children 6 years and under are always free when accompanied by a paying adult. Reservations for the weekend are recommended and can be made by calling 909-866-5841 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. An opening date for Bear Mountain has not yet been determined. Big Bear Mountain Resort reports: "We are as anxious as you are to get the season started. Our snowmaking system was turned on at 5:30 pm on 11/26 at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain and all of our snowmakers are working very hard to get the resort open as soon as possible.
