The resorts received a surprise 3 to 4 inches of light dry snow last night as a very cold low pressure system moved in earlier than expected. Snow showers, heavy at times, are expected through Sunday providing epic powder conditions for the weekend!

Nearly all runs are open at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain with excellent coverage and packed powder to fresh powder conditions over a a two- to five-foot base for great skiing and riding well into April. One lift ticket at Big Bear Mountain Resorts gives you access to two distinct resorts with 24 out of 26 lifts operating as needed and a free shuttle running between the resorts every half-hour.

You may use alternate routes HWY 38 from Redlands or HWY 18 from the Lucerne Valley to get to Big Bear. HWY 38 from Redlands is open and clear with no restrictions. HWY 330 CLOSED Hwy 330 from San Bernardino is closed due to a landslide from Monday's storm. Please use alternate routes Hwy 38 from Redlands and Hwy 18 from Lurcerne Valley into the Big Bear Valley. Always carry chains in your vehicle when driving in the mountains during winter months. Snow is in the forecast today, so please be prepared!

Big Bear Mountain Resorts has 24 out of 26 lifts operating as needed with a two- to five-foot base for great skiing and riding well into April.

WE HAD A GREAT NIGHT OF SNOWMAKING LAST NIGHT AND CONDITIONS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN YOU MAY THINK.ALL ROADS INTO BIG BEAR ARE OPEN AND CLEAR WITH NO RESTRICTIONS! Hwy 18 from Running Springs has a detour around the north side of Big Bear Lake to get to our resorts. Always carry chains in your vehicle and have them readily accessible to checkpoint officers when driving in the mountains during winter months.
