THANKS FOR A FUN WINTER! LET'S DO IT AGAIN NEXT NOVEMBER!

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are closed for the 2007/2008 winter season. We had a great winter due to our superior snowmaking system and all the natural snow we received. We would like to thank everyone for a fun season and remind you to please purchase your Screamin' Deal Season Pass before May 31st for the best savings. Screamin' Deal Season Passes are also good for the scenic sky chair! We look forward to seeing you this summer at the Bear Mountain Golf Course and the Snow Summit Scenic Sky chair.

The Bear Mountain Driving Range is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Range tokens will be available at the driving range Saturday and Sunday. You may purchase tokens at the Bear Mountain Security Office Monday through Friday. Our 9-hole mountain style course is expected to open May 9th depending on weather and course project completions. Tee times will be available for scheduling, as we get closer to our opening date.

The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair transports hikers, mountain bikers and sightseers to the top of the mountain to an elevation of 8,200 ft. The Sky Chair is expected to open weekends only May 17th then daily beginning June 21st through September 1st.

There is STILL PLENTY OF SNOW IN BIG BEAR!

Spend your last days of Spring Break at Big Bear Mountain Resorts, the only open winter resort in Southern California! Snow Summit and Bear Mountain still have plenty of snow with very good snow coverage due to our superior snowmaking system and all the natural snow we received this winter. Snow Summit will be open at least through Sunday April 13th, then day by day, depending on business volume. Snowsports Lessons, rentals and dining options are available at Snow Summit. Summit still has plenty of terrain available for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. While both resorts still have tons of snow, The Park at Bear is operating chair 9 only, due to low business volume and will operate on a day by day basis. Chair 9 gives you access to nearly one-third of the mountain and more than 100 terrain park features! "Bear Only" Season Pass Holders are invited to ski and ride at Snow Summit for the rest of this season. Come enjoy fun in the sun on the snow in Big Bear!

The spring skiing and riding is fantastic and all runs are in great shape in Big Bear! The forecast is calling for a short return to winter weather including a possibility of fresh snowfall Wednesday, no foolin'! We don't want to jinx it but Spring is notorious for leaving several inches of fresh snowfall so think snow! We expect mostly sunny skies beginning Thursday and lasting through the weekend with warmer temperatures returning. We have had some of the best conditions in years this season and we will be open well into April!
