ALL ROADS INTO BIG BEAR ARE OPEN WITH CHAINS REQUIRED! Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel drives with snow tires on all 4 wheels. You must always carry chains in your vehicle and have them readily accessible to checkpoint officers. Hwy 18 from Running Springs is open with an easy 5 minute detour around the north side of Big Bear Lake to get to our resorts. Hwy 38 from Redlands and Hwy 18 from the Lucerne Valley are also open with R2 chain restrictions in effect.

Mother Nature left up to 4 inches of fresh powder overnight with more snow in the forecast tonight. Thanks to the very cold temperatures, the snow is dry and fluffy making for the best skiing and riding conditions all season!


Current Weather and Conditions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~At Big Bear Mountain Resorts, nearly all runs are open with 24 out of 26 lifts opearting as needed, thanks to two of the world's largest snowmaking systems plus a nearly inexhaustible supply of water from Big Bear Lake. Around-the clock snowmaking operations have been in progress since Tuesday night. Today's surface ranges from machine-groomed packed powder to fresh powder. Coverage is excellent on the open runs. Forecasts are calling for very cold temperatures over the next few days with a chance of snow showers tonight. Clearing is expected Sunday as this low pressure system quickly moves out of Southern California.

Free shuttle running between the resorts every half hour.Peak Season Holiday (Weekend & Holiday) rates are in effect 2/18 - 2/20Adults - $62 Young adults (ages 13-21 with a valid ID ) - $51Children (ages 7-12) - $25Big Bear Mountain Resorts will be issuing a $10 bounce-back voucher during Peak Season Weekends, including the Presidents Holiday, with the purchase of an Adult, Young Adult or Child all-day lift ticket. Vouchers can be used at any ticket window through the end of the 2006/07 winter season. This offer is valid until further notice.
