SNOW SUMMIT MOUNTAIN RESORT IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2005/2006 WINTER SEASON!
Miracle Mile, serviced by the East Mountain Express High Speed Quad, is open offering terrain for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Park Staff added six rails and boxes for top to bottom fun! The Bear Bottom Beginners’ Area, serviced by Chair 8, is also open offering terrain for first-time beginners and low-intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Snow Summit’s Snowsports School is offering both adult and children’s ski and snowboard lessons for all levels of ability. Snow Summit’s Little Bear Ski School and Camp will open for the weekend. Coverage is generally very good on the open runs with some thin spots. Today’s snow surface is mostly machine groomed hard packed that will soften during the day. Lift tickets are at an early season reduced rate of $35 for adults; $30 for young adults (ages 13-21yrs with a valid ID); and $10 for children (ages 7-12yrs). Children 6 years and under are always free when accompanied by a paying adult. Reservations for weekends and holidays are recommended and can be made by calling 909-866-5841 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Park Staff is building an awesome jib line on Inspiration for this weekend’s opening! Chair 7 will be operating. Bear Mountain Only Season Passes will be honored at Snow Summit until Bear Mountain opens.

Today's forecast is calling for cloudy skies and cooler temperatures with strong west winds. Scattered rain showers are possible as snow levels remain high. A dusting of snow is possible overnight as temperatures drop. Sunny skies and chilly temperatures are forecasted for the weekend. Today’s highs are expected to reach into the low 40s with overnight lows dropping into the low 30s.
