Big Bear Mountain Resorts Snow Report - March 10, 2006
Winter returns to Big Bear with very cold temperatures and incredible powder conditions!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The resorts received a surprise 3 to 4 inches of light dry snow last night as a very cold low pressure system moved in earlier than expected. Snow showers, heavy at times, are expected through Sunday providing epic powder conditions for the weekend!
Nearly all runs are open at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain with excellent coverage and packed powder to fresh powder conditions over a a two- to five-foot base for great skiing and riding well into April. One lift ticket at Big Bear Mountain Resorts gives you access to two distinct resorts with 24 out of 26 lifts operating as needed and a free shuttle running between the resorts every half-hour.
Chains are required on all vehicles except4-wheel drive with snow tires on all roads into the Big Bear Valley - HWY 330 will reopen at 3:00 p.m. TODAY until 7:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20th. Alternate routes into the Big Bear Valley include Hwy 38 from Redlands and Hwy 18 from the Lucerne Valley. Hwy 18 from the Lucerne Valley offers the least amount of mountain driving. Always carry chains in your vehicle when driving in the mountains during winter months and have them readily accessible to checkpoint officers.

Young adults (ages 13-21 with valid ID ): $39
Children (ages 7-12): $19 Children 6 and under are always free with a paying adult. Peak Season Weekend Rates rates are in effect March 11 & 12, 2006:
Adults: $62
Young adults (ages 13-21 with valid ID ): $51
Children (ages 7-12): $25 Big Bear Mountain Resorts is issuing a $10 bounce-back voucher during Peak Season Weekends, with the purchase of an Adult, Young Adult or Child all-day lift ticket. Vouchers can be used at any ticket window through the end of the 2006/07 winter season. This is the last peak weekend of the season.
