Big Bear Mountain Resorts Update:

Big Bear received 5 to 7 inches of fresh new snow from the weather system that passed through the Valley Wednesday and Thursday. Conditions are excellent with a machine groomed packed powder surface on a base of two to three feet! We are expecting only partly cloudy skies today with little to no daytime precipitation, so get out of the heavy weather and head to Big Bear Mountain Resorts for over 438 ski able acres! All three routes into Big Bear are open. Please read further for road conditions.

Road Conditions

3 Ways to Big Bear - Highway 330/18 from San Bernardino through Running Springs ("Front Way") is the shortest and most direct route. Highway 38 from Redlands ("Back Way") is the best route when leaving the Valley on weekends and holidays. Highway 18 from Lucerne Valley ("Desert Way") is best in snowy weather.

Hwy. 330 / 18 (Running Springs): Open with chains required on all vehicles except four-wheel drives with snow tires. Always carry chains when driving in the mountains during winter months.
Hwy. 38 (Redlands): Open and clear with no restrictions. Always carry chains when driving in the mountains during winter months.
