Snow Summit/Bear Mtn reports:

Well, everything is good! Your in Big Bear! I was talking to Clayton and got an inside scoop on some new features... both of them have me freakn' out, no lie. If you rode yesterday, you saw the new jump. Freaking sweet, huh?! It measured at a near 60 feet. Park staff has been bustn' butt to get it open; could be open today, maybe tomorrow, either way its well worth the wait. He also said they just built a 30 foot single barrel down bar to go right above it. This is the line you have all been waiting for! It's gonna be in the 50's and sunny today, and tomorrow is forecasted down to the 40's. Don't forget, you can get free rentals if you purchase a beginner lesson package in the month of January, for more information check out the Discounts and Specials page. Have fun up there!
Hwy 18 (from Lucerne Valley) & Hwy 38 (from Redlands) are open with no chains required. Hwy 18 from Waterman Canyon Road through Lake Arrowhead is open with considerable mountain driving. Hwy 330 closed for the season.
