Big Bear Lake - Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are expecting a good chance of winter weather rolling in tonight. This weather is forecasted to get stronger as the weekend unfolds bringing a possibility of substantial snowfall! Simon Chamberlain will be unveiling of his signature jib Saturday morning and he could not have picked a better weekend! Be there at Bear when his exclusive design is revealed.

"A strong and cold low pressure system begins dropping southward along the California coast. Winds increase today as clouds also increase, and showers develop in the evening and overnight. Snow levels start out high initially, through tonight, then on Friday we see significant snow right into Saturday morning mainly as the strong low-pressure system moves through. Temperatures look cold on Friday and Saturday (lingering snow Saturday). Winds are also expected to be pretty strong through this period."
