Big Bear received up to an inch of fluffy new snow over our 16 to 28 inch base and conditions are excellent! We have been making snow continuously for more than two days and nearly the entire resort is open with 25 of 26 lifts available. The Wall and Upper Olympic are now open at Snow Summit for advanced skiers and snowboarders. All 3 routes into Big Bear are open, please view road conditions for further information.

3 Ways to Big Bear - Highway 330/18 from San Bernardino through Running Springs ("Front Way") is the shortest and most direct route. Highway 38 from Redlands ("Back Way") is the best route when leaving the Valley on weekends and holidays. Highway 18 from Lucerne Valley ("Desert Way") is best in snowy weather.

Hwy. 330 / 18 (Running Springs): Open with chains required on all vehicles except four-wheel drives with snow tires. Always carry chains when driving in the mountains during winter months.
Hwy. 38 (Redlands): Open with chains required on all vehicles except four-wheel drives with snow tires. Always carry chains when driving in the mountains during winter months.
Hwy. 18 (Lucerne Valley): Open and clear with no restrictions. Always carry chains when driving in the mountains during winter months.

Big Bear received another dusting to an inch of fresh snow overnight and we have been making snow since very early this morning. The forecast calls for favorable snowmaking conditions for several days to come and we expect to open even more runs this weekend!All three routes into Big Bear are open, please view the following road conditions for additional information.

Big Bear received a dusting to 1 inch of new snow early this morning. Conditions are excellent on the open runs. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain have 21 of 26 lifts available offering a wide variety of terrain and park features for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Big Bear Mountain Resorts now has 21 out of 26 available lifts, offering a wide variety of terrain for skiiers and boarders of all abilities. Conditions are excellent on the open runs. Today's forecast is sunny with the high around 46 degrees. All three routes into Big Bear are open and clear with no restrictions.

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are able to open more runs and lifts at a rapid rate due to the recent snowfall of nearly a foot and ideal snowmaking conditions! BBMR currently offers 15 runs and 9 chairs and we expect to open more of your favorite runs and lifts by the weekend! All 3 routes into Big Bear are open. Big Bear Mountain Resorts received 10 to 12 inches of snow over the weekend, on top of our 1 to 2 foot base. With the current cold temperatures we have been able to make snow around the clock for 3 days and we will continue making snow for several more days to come! All 3 routes into Big Bear are open. Bear Mountain Ski Resort reports: "Big Bear has received 10 inches of fresh powder in the past 36 hours! 6 inches of fluffy snow fell overnight adding to yesterday's 4 inches of snowfall! It is still snowing and forecasts predict scattered snow showers throughout the morning. We have been making snow around the clock for 2 days and with these cold temperatures, we can continue making snow for several days to come! With this added bonus of natural snow, Snow Summit will open Ego Trip today! BBMR now offers 9 runs and 9 lifts! Enjoy your day in the POWDER!"
After dropping at least 8 inches of snow overnight, wrap around moisture will keep snow showers in the forecast today, mainly Big Bear area, gradually decreasing later today with the snow level hovering around 3,000 feet. A few inches of additional accumulation is possible with highs only in the 20s today. Clearing tonight into Monday with lows in the teens as highs get back into the 30s with cool northeast winds. Temperatures will slowly increase throughout the week as we pull back into the 40s, with lows in the teens and 20s. Snowmaking will remain excellent for resorts through Tuesday.

Big Bear received 2 to 3 inches of fresh snow overnight and continued snow showers are likely! Be at the mountain early to get the first fresh tracks of the season. Big Bear Mountain Resorts has 8 runs and 9 lifts with more on the way soon! We have been making snow since early yesterday afternoon and we will continue to make snow. Not only are we expecting more snow showers but with these cold temperatures we can keep making snow for several days! Enjoy your day on the slopes!

Big Bear Lake - Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are expecting a good chance of winter weather rolling in tonight. This weather is forecasted to get stronger as the weekend unfolds bringing a possibility of substantial snowfall! Simon Chamberlain will be unveiling of his signature jib Saturday morning and he could not have picked a better weekend! Be there at Bear when his exclusive design is revealed.

Big Bear Mountain Resorts has been making snow at every opportunity and will continue to make snow as conditions permit. Although it has been a relatively mild winter thus far, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are expecting a fairly good chance of winter weather rolling in later this week bringing with it a possibility of substantial snowfall! Although natural snowfall would be greatly beneficial, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain can, still open more runs and lifts with our impressive snow making equipment. BBMR now offers 8 lifts and 9 runs and we expect to open additional terrain this weekend.
